Re: Raising the exiges.com level

I think Exiges started with a group of S1 owners on track and stopping their cars exploding and falling to bits, it was before my time. I think more events could be the way, maybe the strap line is “for the drivers”.

Re: Raising the exiges.com level

On that idea, I believe you can rent the Curborough sprint circuit for very modest amounts. Maybe a few social sporting events are a USP.? Also, though it was not an Exiges event I think Paul and Lot did us proud at little effort or financial risk. Maybe you can pick more than one of his events in t...

Re: Raising the exiges.com level

As a long term Exiger I apologise for not saying hello at Anglesey, I was too cold, soggy and shivering to make my way down the pits, Caterhams are silly in a monsoon. I do think we need to attract more s3 owners, the s1 base is tiny and many of us now rarely use our S1 cars. I think myself and Ben ...

Re: 2021 Exiges track day

It was very wet in a Caterham and near impossible to see where you were going, visor soaked on both sides. I was soaked through and got water in the throttle sensor so left after lunch.

Re: S1 fake front clam intakes....has anyone cut them out?

You have to decide what you want them to cool, charge cooler sounds good. I’d be careful giving the brakes extra cooling. Hot brakes work better, too hot less so. There is a reason Lotus blanked them off, not really needed.

Re: Collecting cars S1 Exige

Serial number is 600 so it’s one of the very last. I briefly thought about it for track days, mechanical check and just use it.

Re: 2021 Exiges track day

I was at Anglesey last year for their first opening after lockdown, it’s as suggested, they are being very careful and they told us there were plenty of people checking up on them, with the threat of being closed if they did not comply. Sessions and limited attendance is a pain and I know knocks the...

Re: VHPD Emerald map files wanted

As you say, the emerald does not really use MAP but it may be indicating a problem. What Is the reading with the engine stopped, it should be about 101kPa (I think)? If you have a massive leak the engine would not idle. Much more likely is the sensor calibration is wrong, which does not matter if it...

Re: VHPD Emerald map files wanted

I’m not sure why the maps I sent you have such a low target speed for the iacv. There is no way my VHPD can idle at 800rpm, 1150 is more like it. Tbh, when I looked at the maps there were a few things that did not look right. I think the basic fuel and ignition are ok.
