Re: Lotus in the garden 2019

That's bloody awesome, what a top event. I love community spirit and that's taken it to a new level. Brilliant. Let’s do the same in your garden  That's the point with such an event. Who dares to open his garden, workshop and house for a party of (partly unknown) group of Lotus enthusiasts...

Lotus in the garden 2019

There is a very pleasant annual event here in Germany which is called 'Lotus in the garden'. An open minded Lotus enthusiast opens the garden of his private house for every Lotus driver arriving in a Lotus. Every body is encouraged to bring something for the barbecue. It is tried to get as many cars...

Re: VHPD Engine Woes!

... Not sure if you have this saying in Germany, “great minds think alike, and fools seldom differ”. We are thinking the same! Keith Keith, I don't think we have that saying in Germany in full length, only half of it: 'Zwei Trottel - ein Gedanke'. Unfortunately it corresponds to the second part of ...

Re: VHPD Engine Woes!

Gets engine running gradually worse while warming up or is it more of a sudden change? The ECU runs in open loop while being cold and switches to closed loop mode once the engine reaches a certain temperature (closed loop: ECU tries to control mixture and ignition by looking at the current lambda re...

Re: Private buyer is looking for an Exige S1

Keith, this is my (limited) knowledge about registering a car in Germany: - the CoC paper is of paramount importance: no CoC paper - no registration (at least without getting creative  ). This is not true for older cars before the introduction of the CoC within the EU. - the model year is irr...

Re: Private buyer is looking for an Exige S1

Hi Lars, I registered my car in Germany although it has been first registered in January 2001. Before buying the car I checked it with the Straßenverkehrsamt (car registration authority in Germany) and they said it would be no problem if it is imported from another EU country where it has been regis...

Re: Inlet pulley for 190 ECU

I've got a picture from somewhere that is supposed to show a 190hp pulley (see below). I think it will be difficult to exactly drill that additional slot without a good pattern. I used verniers ordered from Turbosport on Ebay. They wokred fine for me.

What does a warm static S1 idle at?
The ECU tries to let the engine idle at 1250rpm :D
