Re: Full repaint experiences

hda Had any more thoughts on the colour? I think Titanium is great to show off the shape as is New Aluminium, I mean just look at it. This was after a simply sublime run out. I'm really not sure what else would give that level of involvement and sense of drama, perhaps a BDA engined MkI Escort set ...

Re: Full repaint experiences

I know what you mean, mine is New Aluminium silver or whatever they called it, not my first choice of colour, typically silver is generally a bit boring on cars. But... To my eyes it sets off the whole drama of the Exige really well with the contrasting black decals, wheels, rear diffuser etc. There...

Re: Anybody have a spare 190 ECU?

Why do you want an Emerald? Are you still concerned your ECU isn't working properly or more for tuning /optimising the running?

Hi -my ECU may be faulty as I am at loss with an unknown limp mode. Any chance I could borrow yours?

Re: Introduction aaaand...limp mode

I occasionally get a stutter at 5500rpm and the car won't rev past this point. Every time I know what it is. An air pocket can develop where the HT leads connect to the coil pack. The instructions with the HT leads even describes seating them carefully by lifting the rubber boot at one side as they ...

Re: My Lotus cars

Wow super nice choice of cars, Stratos, Exige, Elan, Elise and you ended up with S1's, that is interesting. I guess different cars filling different roles. As much as I would like to ask about all of them how was the Stratos?! Would that have been the Hawk replica kit?

That looks absolutely awesome. 300bhp is a lot, was that a VVT engine transplant supercharged?

I just watched a throttle bodied MX5 (VVT engine) and a Yaris GR on a track day. Just shows how capable those little MX5's are.

Re: Ramblings of a solar yellow s240

Yeah nice story on you car ownership journey and landing with this beauty. I'm interested in your MX5 ownership and particularly the blower conversions (maybe that's a discussion for another forum ;) I picked up a really clean VR Limited Eunos in the middle of the 'rona' episode. Great fun little ca...

Re: VHPD timing with Piper verniers

No dyno runs before or after, I just took the opportunity to have them adjusted to factory settings whilst the belt was off; I’ve read that the can sometimes be out from what they should be. It also spreads the cost a little, should I decided to get an Emerald in the future….still thinking about th...
